Clarea HC96

Specialist precision cleaning solvent

Clarea®HC96 is a high flash point solvent designed for immersion and manual cleaning applications.

Clarea®HC96 should be selected when a non-hazardous cleaner with powerful solvency, a high flash point, very low odour and low non-volatile residue (NVR) is required. Suitable for use at high temperatures in a variety of commercially available immersion cleaning equipment.

Clarea®HC96  is formulated to effectively remove a wide range of soils such as heavy greases, mineral oils, coolants, lubricants, synthetics, waxes and particulate matter.

Safe for use with ferrous and non-ferrous alloys such as aluminium, copper and copper alloys, nickel magnesium, steel, stainless steel, titanium and zinc. It is also compatible with many polymeric substrates and elastomers.

A suitable replacement for acetone, isopropyl alcohol (IPA), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), toluene and other low-flash point, flammable materials. It is also an effective alternative to caustic cleaners.

Process:

  • Manual Cleaning: Apply Clarea®HC96 at full concentration to the desired substrate by brush, pad or cloth.
  • Immersion Cleaning: Add Clarea®HC96 undiluted to the wash tank reservoir at temperatures between ambient and 82°C.
  • Co-Solvent Vapour Degreasing: Add a ratio of Clarea®HC96 and rinsing agent according to the specific application.
