ProSolv IPA

Light-duty cleaning and degreasing solvent, acts as a direct replacement for 3M™ Novec™ 71IPA

A vapour degreasing solvent cleaning blend with with low GWP and zero ODP – Excellent cleaning capacity and a very low environmental impact.

ProSolv®IPA is an azeotropic blend of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and a Hydrofluoroether (HFE) and has been developed to replace global warming solvents such as HFCs.

Due to its azeotropic bond, ProSolv®IPA is non-flammable and is stable throughout the refluxing of the system, making it an ideal cleaning solvent for applications such as light surface contamination cleaning, fingerprint removal, tank flushing, dust particle cleaning (metallic, glass or plastic) and precision rinsing.

ProSolv®IPA is an excellent alternative to traditional Chlorinated and Brominated cleaning solvents that are designated Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or Reproductive toxins (CMR). This product is also an excellent drop-in replacement to many Ozone Depleting substances. It has a polar structure, which when coupled with a low surface tension, creates a fast drying, versatile cleaning solvent.

ProSolv®IPA is operator friendly with a large margin of safety between the exposure guidelines that have been established for each of the components and exposures anticipated from intended end-use applications (750ppm/8-hour period).

ProSolv®IPA has many favourable properties that make it an excellent precision cleaning product that makes it ideal for ultrasonic immersion and vapour degreasing applications.

ProSolv®IPA is very easy to use and maintain. As the product is extremely stable it does not require monitoring for pH, Alkalinity or Acid Acceptance Values (AAV). Compatible with a large variety of metals and plastics.

ProSolv®IPA is a direct replacement for 3M™ Novec™ 71IPA engineered fluid.
