High performance vapour degreasing solvent for precision metal cleaning
A vapour degreasing solvent cleaning blend with with low GWP and zero ODP, with excellent cleaning capacity and a very low environmental impact.
ProSolv® is ideal for critical applications such as oxygen service, precision optics, medical devices, high vacuum components and electronics. It is an excellent choice for removal of a wide range of organic soils by vapour degreaser, ultrasonic cavitation, dip tank, flushing.
ProSolv® is an azeotropic mixture that can be distilled and reused through numerous cycles before it needs to be replaced. It is very stable and does not need monitoring for stability or the addition of extra stabilisers.
ProSolv® has a moderate boiling temperature and high solvency power, so is the perfect combination for thorough and comprehensive removal of oils, greases, resins, fluxes etc. The low surface tension and low viscosity present a searching, free-flowing wetting performance, making it extremely effective for cleaning parts with complex geometry. Robust azeotropic structure means it can be continually recovered by distillation within the vapour degreaser or within an external recovery system.
ProSolv® is extremely stable and simple to use meeting all the increasingly stringent legislative demands for safer, non flammable solvents with a low environmental impact in the precision engineering industries.
Unlike other chlorinated solvents ProSolv® can be used for manual cleaning in a suitably ventilated area. Typical applications are where high performance critical cleaning is required at lower cost than other fluorinated solvent cleaners. Vapour degreasing for medical, aerospace, optics, oxygen equipment service, high vacuum components and electronics.
ProSolv® offers a cost-effective Trichloroethylene replacement in formulations for dip, spray or aerosol applications and as a fast drying carrier solvent for oil, silicones and other lubricants. An excellent choice to replace flammable solvents such as MEK, Acetone, Iso propyl alcohol (IPA) or hydrocarbons where manual wiping or brush cleaning is the preferred cleaning method.
ProSolv® can act as an upgraded replacement for 3M™ Novec™ 73DE engineered fluid
